Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the swing shift to join a semiconductor company in Morgan Hill. This is a temp to hire position. Hours are Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm plus overtime on Saturdays. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test upon hire. Starting pay is $29/hour with a 10% shift differential.
The Maintenance Technician will conduct, maintain, test and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. This person will apply knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment to operation. This person will provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform timely repair or troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment such as Die Attach, Wire bonders, and other Assembly and Test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic elements of various assembly and test equipment.
- Perform work requiring a good knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles.
- Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with safety requirements.
- Ensure machines assigned to are always in good running condition.
- Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Assist and train other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
- Work with engineers, production supervisors and other technicians to ensure daily production maintenance activity is performed according to requirement.
- The technician will work on a class 10k cleanroom environment.
Requirements:
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 3 - 5 years of experience.
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
- Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
- Computer experience/operation necessary.
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
- Ability to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
- Must be highly safety conscious.
